Srinagar, May 03 (KINS): Bhartiya Janata Party spokesman for J&K Altaf Thakur paid tributes to the army’s colonel, major, two soldiers and a police sub inspector, who got killed while fighting militants in Chanjhmulla, Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Thakur in a statement issued to news agency KINS said “the supreme sacrifices of soldiers and policemen will always be remember as entire nation feels proud of them and every citizen of the country stands with their families in this hour of grief”.
Thakur said a time when entire world is fighting pandemic Covid 19, there is no letup in militant related activities in Kashmir. “Militants continue to infiltrate from across LoC to foment trouble in the Valley. The BJP leader said that when the soldiers were evacuating civilians from the house, the militants opened fire at them”.
He extended his condolence to the families of slain Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, Major Anuj Sood, Naik Rajesh, Lance naik Dinesh and police sub inspector Shakeel Qazi stating that “nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of all these brave hearts and will always remember their priceless sacrifices”(KINS)
