Go for COVID-19 tests: Admin to hospitals staff in Anantnag

Srinagar May 31: Administration has directed the staff members in hospitals and clinics to go for COVID-19 testing where many positive cases have visited in Anantnag.

An order issued by the administration, a copy of which with KINS said whereas during reverse contact tracing of some Covid-19 positive pregnant ladies, it has come to fore that they have visited various clinical /medical establishments indicating them as the probable source of infection and whereas in order to rule out the suspicion and as a prophylactic measure.

“It is necessary to conduct massive test of the staff working in these establishments and accordingly, it is hereby ordered that the staff (medical / para-medical / support staff) working in all clinical establishments (Clinics, Diagnostic Centers, Nursing Homes) in District Anantnag be screened and sampled within three days positively by the Nodal Officer Testing i.e. Principal GMC Srinagar with due assistance by CMO Arantnag.”


The owners of these business establishments have been directed to   sanitize / fumigate and disinfect their premises at their own cost and shall also dispose off the medical waste as per SOP in consultation with Chief Medical Officer / Executive Officer Municipality concerned. 
Further, till satisfactory reports / evaluation into this account by the Health and Monitoring Committee constituted by this office, they shall not operate their premises / facility. 


Nodal Officer Testing Principal Government Medical college, Anantnag and Chief Medical Officer, Anantnag to’ report compliance day signed by both on 03-06-2020, the order reads.
