COVID-19 positive woman delivers baby at SDH Gurez

SRINAGAR, June 7: A COVID-19 positive woman in north Kashmir delivered a baby at Sub District Hospital Gurez on Sunday.

The delivery was conducted under the guidance of Dr Bashir CMO Bandipora and Dr Tahira Nazir BMO Gurez who led the team from the front along with others colleagues, Dr Manzoor, Dr Hilal, Hayth, Mustaq Ahmad, Sakina, Bilal and Mohmad Sheiek.

Sources told news agency KINS that they made it possible by providing logistics and other support at the SDH which has been designated COVID level 2nd hospital.

This is the first time in history that COVID positive case was delivered safely at such a far-flung area near LOC. This is a pride movement for SDH Gurez that by providing logistics and support by CMO and Ravinder Kumar IAS appreciated the whole team.

Dr. B A Khan (CMO) has recently joined and has actively participated and controlled the Covid 19 from further spreading. He appreciated the team SDH Gurez and all the employees of district Bandipora to work hard and with zest and zeal for controlling Covid 19 in district Bandipora.
