Bandipora police destroys illegal poppy cultivation

Srinagar, June 09 (KINS): The Bandipora police Tuesday said that it destroyed illegal poppy cultivation in the district.

In  a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) Police said that a party of Police Post Aloosa led by I/C PP Aloosa destroyed poppy cultivation in Ashtangoo area of Bandipora.

“General public of the area have appreciated the action of police and have urged the authorities to continue this drive in nearby areas also.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law”. (KINS)
