DC Anantnag holds sensitization meeting with Imams, Auqaf presidents on Covid-19 containment

ANANTNAG, JUNE 19: Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag K.K Sidha chaired a meeting of all Imams, khateebs  and Auqaf presidents of district Anantnag  here at Dak bungalow Khanabal . While addressing the meeting the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag cleared some doubts with regard to disease and said that the COVID -19 positive cases have raised to an alarming point hence more precautions need to be taken. He reiterated on the need of use of masks, sanitizers, social distancing and other health measures to contain the spread of covid-19 infection. He also sensitized the meeting about the issues of concealing of travel history, social stigma ,violation of lockdown and importance of following of health  guidelines and urged imams  and auqaf members to create massive awareness among masses for the good cause.

Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag directed that all BLOs to visit 25 houses each a day for awareness generation.

At the outset, a three level committees of village, block, district were framed to   bring awareness to the masses and all facilities even door to door will be provided to red zone areas.

The Auqaf presidents, imams and khateebs ensured their full support to district administration   and also raised issues with regard to COVID -19 and developmental works which were ensured to be addressed as soon as possible.

A large number of representatives from all areas participated, listend keenly the instruction of Deputy Commissioner, and ensure full cooperation and support from their end.
