Youth goes missing in Shopian: Family appeals him to return home

Anantnag, June 19: A 20-year-old youth from south Kashmir’s Shopian district is missing since June 11, 2020, when he left home but did not return. 


The youth has been identified as Basit Ahmad Bakshi, son of Mohammad Ismail Bakshi, a resident of Ramnagri village in Shopian district.


“He is a under graduate student and we are worried for him. We appeal him to return home,” the family members told news agency KINS. They said,  “Basit did not return after he left him home to go market to buy medicine on June 11 at 2:00 pm.”

he family especially his aged parents are worried over his safety. 
The family has put video on social media in which they are appling him to return home.


After finding no whereabouts about him the family lodged an First Information Report (FIR)  in Hirpora Police station.


“We have lodged missing report at Hirpora Police station about our son. I request my son to return home safely wherever he is because of my illness,” his father said.


Basit’s old aged mother said, “I am a heart patient and I can’t live without my son. I request him with folded hands to come. Please don’t leave us in this condition.”


“We don’t know weather he is hiding or has joined any militant group. You must return home for our sake,” the family said.
