Teacher attempts suicide in Handwara

SRINAGAR, June 25(KINS): A government teacher in North Kashmir’s Handwara consumed some poisonous substance in an attempt to commit suicide in a village in Handwara sub-district.

Sources told news agency KINS that the person (name withheld) by profession a government teacher consumed some poisonous substance at his home in Audoora village of Mawar-Langate in Handwara area.

However, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, from where he was referred to district hospital Handwara for further treatment sources added.

Meawhile, A police officer told news agency KINS that police is investigating the matter.

Pertinent to mention here, this is a second such incident in the area earlier this week, In a shocking incident two young girls, who were cousins, commit suicide by consuming some poisonous substances in the Mawar area of Handwara.(KINS)
