3 Deaths In A Day, Covid-19 death Toll In J&K Touches 104

SRINAGAR,July 01 (KINS): Coronavirus on Wednesday claimed three more lives, raising the total number of fatalities due to the deadly disease in the Union Territory of Jamu and Kashmir to 104.

Among three deaths two were reported at Chest Disease Hospital while another was reported at SKIMS hospital Srinagar.

Dr Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Agency(KINS), a 50-year-old woman from Eidgah area of Srinagar died at a hospital here on Wednesday morning. ”He said the woman was admitted on June 19 in Infectious Disease Block “as a case of hypertension, hypothyroidism with community acquired pneumonia with Type 1 respiratory failure.”

Meanwhile Dr Salim Tak, Medical Superintendent CD hospital confirmed the two fresh COVID deaths to KINS said, a 75-year-old man from Sopore and 80-year-old man from Bibehara area of Anantnag district became fresh victims of this deadly virus here at this hospital. “He said both patients were suffering from pneumonia besides respiratory diseases and other ailments”.

The death toll related to Covid-19 in J&K has reached to 104 -92 from the Valley and 12 from the Jammu division.


Meanwhile, 198 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported in J&K on Wednesday.(KINS)
