All three Kulgam Teachers suspended over alleged rape charge

Srinagar, July 06 : Taking cognizance of the matter, education department on Monday suspended all three teachers on the charge of alleged rape case.

In an order copy which lies with KINS news agency reads, on the basis of written complaint submitted by inhabitants of village Chachmulla regarding sexual harassment of a local girl, the three teachers (name withheld) are being placed under suspension with immediate effect pending inquiry.

Pertinently, A Kulgam girl (name withheld) approached the police station with a written complaint in which she alleged that three government teachers raped her.

A police officer earleir this day confirmed to KINS about this incident and said one accused has been arrested and efforts are on to arrest other two accused teachers.

He said a case with FIR No 109/2020 U/S 366,376 IPC was registered and investigation was set into motion.(KINS)
