COVID-19: Kashmir Witnesses 14 deaths a Day

Srinagar, July 16(KINS): Kashmir Valley reported fourteen more COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality toll to 222 in Jammu and Kashmir.

A health official told KINS that fourteen deaths were reported from Kashmir Division on Thursday.

The official while sharing details to this news agency said, a 65-year-old man from Khawajabagh Baramulla died of this virus at SKIMS, he said the patient was admitted in the hospital on 07.07.2020.c/w chest infection and died on Thursday morning.

He said 65-year-old man from Serhama Anantnag was admitted in SKIMS on 30.06.20. He was a chest infection & HTN patient and died on Thursday.

Another patient a 67-year-old from Bathra Budgam was admitted in SKIMS on 28.06.20. He was in Cap. and died on Thursday the official said.

The official said another patient a 75-year-old man from Batamaloo Srinagar who was admitted on 11.07.2020 and became victim of this virus on Thursday.

The health official told KINS that another patient a 60-year-old from Karnah Kupwara was admitted as B/L caphe and succumbed his last breath in ward no 1 of SMHS on Thursday.

Another patient as per health official a 75-year-old man from Nishat was admitted on 12:07:20 as B/L. and died of this virus on Thursday the officail added.

The health official while sharing details of other victims who lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Kashmir Division on Thursday said a 62-year-old man from Khankay Mowla Srinagar was admitted on 13.07.20 with chest infection and died on Thursday.

The another patient as per health officail a 60-year-old woman Shopian who was admitted on 11:07:20 as B/L cap and on Thursday afternoon breathed her last.

Another patient a 75-year-old old woman from Sonawar Srinagar was admitted on 13:07:20 as B/L cap and on Thursday afternoon breathed her last.

An official said a sample of a lady from Sanbari Kokernag was taken on Jul 10 and returned positive late last night two days after her death.

The official said another patient a 50-year-old woman from Banglow Bagh Baramulla was admitted on 14/07/2020 as a B/L pneumonia and died on Thursday evening of COVID-19.

Another patient a 62-year-old from Mallabagh Soura Srinagar died of this virus on Thursday at Srinagar hospital.

The other two patients as per official including a 62-year-old man from Baramulla who was admitted on 09.07.20 and was diagnosis bilateral pneumonia with diabetes mellitus and died on Thursday evening and another patient an 80-year-old man from Sopore who was admitted o 10/07/2020 and was the diagnosis: B/L CAP, ARDS, type I respiratory failure, Rh Arthritis and became a victim of this deadly virus the official added.

With these deaths, the toll rose to 222 in Jammu and Kashmir, 204 people in Kashmir, and 18 in Jammu.(KINS)
