Progress of various schemes under RDD sector reviewed in Kupwara

KUPWARA, AUGUST 07: The District Administration Kupwara Friday reviewed progress of various schemes in vogue under Rural Development Department (RDD) sector in the district.

The review meeting was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kupwara, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat.

The meeting was informed that under MGNREGA, Rs.28 lakh have been expended on labour component during the current financial year which has generated 5.04 lakh persondays, benefitting 17,418 households.

It was also informed that 14,945 works under MGNREGA have been identified under Approved Action Plan for all 26 blocks of the district to be executed during this fiscal. 

On the occasion, the ADDC stressed upon the officers to put their best efforts to improve the developmental scenario of rural areas of the district.

Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), District Panchayat Officer, Block Development Officers, AEEs of REW Kupwara and other concerned attended the meeting.
