COVID-19 recovery rate improves to nearly 70 percent

Srinagar, Aug 11 (KINS): Health Ministry said COVID-19 cases dipped below 55,000 in a single day Tuesday after the country was recording over 60,000 cases daily for four days on the trot.


The recovery rate is 69.80 per cent. The case fatality rate also dropped below 2 per cent and was recorded at 1.99 percent.


According to the news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) the Health Ministry informed that active COVID-19 cases in the country stands at 6 lakh 39 thousand 9 hundred 29, while 15 lakh 83 thousand 4 hundred 89 people have been recovered. “Single day spike of 53 thousand 6 hundred one COVID-19 cases have pushed India’s virus caseload to 22 lakh 68 thousand 6 hundred 75. Death toll due to Covid-19 has reached 45 thousand 2 hundred 57”.


Indian Council of Medical Research said, till yesterday, a total of 2 crore 52 lakh 81 thousand 8 hundred 48 samples have been tested. 6 lakh 98 thoudand 2 hundred 90 samples were tested yesterday.(KINS)
