Virtual Job Fair organized by Himayat Mission Management Limited

Srinagar August 28: Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU) in collaboration with Team Lease Services Ltd. organized “Virtual Job Fair” in Jammu in which around 50 candidates trained under the Himayat Programme participated.


The event was inaugurated by Kapil Sharma (KAS) Chief Operating Officer HMMU in presence of officers from  Himayat Mission Management Unit, NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS), NIRDPR and officials from Team Lease Services Ltd.


Himayat-DDUGKY is implemented on Private-Public-Partnership (PPP) mode, where organizations registered with Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) Government of India (GoI), implement the programme as Project Implementing Partners (PIAs).


About 50 candidates participated in the virtual job fair and were offered appointments by the employers with minimum salary   of Rs 1.30 lakhs per annum marking an important event for the participating trained candidates. The employers which participated include Connect Business Solutions Limited (TBSS), Himatsingka Seide Ltd., KPR Mills ltd., Foxconn.


Speaking on the occasion, Kapil Sharma expressed the hope that in future more youth will be provided training for gainful employment under Himayat. He also exhorted the youth present on the occasion to venture out of J&K to explore better opportunities in private sector.


The fair provided a platform to skilled candidates with career options available in various leading organizations under one roof. the initiative is significant in view of the pandemic due to COVID 19 as majority of the candidates returned to their respective native places which now enrolled are being provided another opportunity for the re-employment in the private sector.


Kapil Sharma, KAS,  Chief Operating Officer, Himayat Mission Management Unit welcomed the employers & asked them to engage maximum number of Himayat trainees in their respective companies.


Under Himayat-DDUGKY, the State’s youth in the age group of 15-35 years can undergo skill development and placement free of cost which is inclusive of food, accommodation, uniforms, learning materials and one-time travel to place of placement.(KINS)
