Div Com reviews developmental scenario in Rajouri district

‘21 languishing projects completed; 2600 MNREGA works taken up, 23538 registered for PMAY ’

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 04: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, today held a video conference meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to review the developmental scenario in the District and the progress on the mega projects.

The Divisional Commissioner reviewed various development works, status of languishing projects, status of Aadhaar linkage, status of payment made to farmers under PMKSN and implementation of  other schemes like, PMAY, PMGSY, and the works taken up under MGNREGA.

The Divisional Commissioner sought the status report of MGNREGA works and the Deputy Commissioner apprised him of the progress made so far.

The DC Rajouri informed that out of total 2740 identified MGNREGA works, 2600 have been taken up in the District. He also apprised about the works completed so far.

He further informed that against 114 projects sanctioned under languishing scheme, work on 108 projects was taken up and 21 have been completed. The Div Com sought details of each project, schemes and was informed that out of total 62 schemes of PHE 52 have been taken up and 14 have been completed. It was further informed that out of total 12 works of PDD, 8 were taken up of which 5 have been completed.

The Div Com asked the DC to expedite the pace of work on languishing projects, other development works for their timely completion and formulate month wise completion plan of different components of each project.

The Div Com also reviewed implementation of PMAY and was informed that 23538 beneficiaries have been registered so far in the District, while 14656 have been sanctioned and as many as 11000 have received 1st installment.

The Div Com also reviewed overall Aadhaar linkage and the DC informed that 82 percent seeding has been done and the exercise is on to achieve 100 percent target. 

While reviewing macadamisation of PMGSY roads, it was informed that out of total 513 KM length, work on 85 KM has been completed while further work is in progress.
