R Day arrangements reviewed at Pulwama


PULWAMA, JANUARY 18: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today convened a meeting to finalise the arrangements to ensure smooth celebration of Republic Day-2021.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held regarding security, first aid, sanitation, seating arrangements, power & water supply, decoration of the main venue, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations and cleanliness and sanitation besides other arrangements for ensuing celebration of national event.
It was informed that colorful cultural programmes based on nationalism, fundamental duties, folk and culture would also be presented on the occasion.
The DC informed that the main function shall be organised at DPL Pulwama where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising the contingents from JK Police, CRPF, NCC cadets.
It was given out that the full dress rehearsal of the programme will be held on 24, January subject to feasible weather conditions.
The DC directed the concerned officers and agencies to ensure better coordination among themselves to ensure better arrangements are in place for making the National event a grand success.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Awantipora and Tral, Senior civil and Police officers besides other concerned officers and officials.
Meanwhile, in Awantipora the Republic Day function will be held at DPL Awantipora.
