Handwara Police facilitates PCPG meeting at Police Station Vilgam


Srinagar, Feb 09 (KINS): As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was facilitated by Handwara Police at Police Station Vilgam while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
The meeting was chaired by SP Handwara Dr. G.V Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS besides SDPO Handwara, SHO Vilgam and other officers and officials were also present in the meeting. The meeting   was attended by large number of respectable citizens, members of Masjid committee, Sumo association members, BDCs, Panchs and Sarpanchs of the area.
During the meeting, the participants raised several grievances and the chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. The participants also urged that counselling classes for aspiring students of  UPSC or JKPSC  be held in the area to create an energy among the students and to aware them about the pattern of these exams. SP Handwara thanked the respectable citizens for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.
The participants appreciated the efforts of Police for facilitating such meetings where participants express their views freely and urged that such kind of interactive meetings to plug the gap between public and police will be organized in future too. The participants also applauded the role of police in Covid-19 pandemic and peaceful Elections.(KINS)
