Poonch achieves 100% vaccination of 45 yr & above population

POONCH, JULY 15(KINS):: Signifying a major feat, District Poonch has achieved 100% vaccination of above 45 year and above population through its intensive inoculation drive.

 

Deputy Commissioner, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review COVID-19 mitigation measures in the district here at the Conference Hall of DC office complex.

 

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated all the stakeholders for achieving the 100% vaccination target  and said the inoculation will continue with the same intensity to cover the whole population.

 

The DC set a target of administering five thousand doses of vaccination per day and directed to conduct the RTPCR testing as per the targets set for each block.  He directed the CMO to put up a consolidated report on a daily basis.

 

He further directed to formulate a comprehensive district plan for possible 3rd wave of Covid-19 by July 20, 2021.

 

The CMO was asked to ensure that the patients visiting District Hospital are not sent outside for USG  and the tests are done in the  Hospital itself. He issued directions to CMO, BMO and Police to deploy vehicles with speakers/posters to spread awareness about Covid Appropriate Behaviour. The DC asked all the officers who have been provided with Covid funds to submit UC within three days.

 

The meeting decided to constitute joint enforcement teams for Urban areas to enforce Covid Appropriate Behavior. It was further decided that the fine realized from the violators will be deposited in the Red Cross Account.

 

The DC provided Rs 25000 fund each to CDPOs, Tehsildars and BDOs for IEC activities.

 

The meeting ended with direction from the chair to all the participants for timely implementation of the directions issued.

 

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Basharat Hussain; Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan; CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent DH,  Nodal Officer Covid,  CDPO, ALC, Tehsildars, CEO Municipality,  BMOs,  BDOs besides all concerned officers. (KINS):
