Recovery rate increases to 99% in district: DC Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 04 ( KINS ) : The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today said that Covid recovery rate has increased to 99 percent in the district.

The DC said this during a routine press briefing to present an overall situation of the Covid-19 in the district, besides the Covid containment and mitigation measures employed so far in the district.

While giving details, she said that 58 positive cases are active in the district and in last 24 days no Covid patient has been admitted in the District Hospital which is a positive sign for the district.

Furthermore, the DC said that from past few weeks the positive cases have slightly increased in few areas like Bhatmohalla Watlar, MongamWussan, Ramwari Gund, AstanmohallaDangerpora, Bambumohalla and Telimohalla Lar of the district. She said people living in these areas need to be more cautious and should follow Covid Appropriate Behavior religiously as these areas are to be notified as containment zones.

She also appealed to the DDCs, BDCs and local PRIs to urge people for adherence to Covid SOPs and vaccination especially in these areas and to carry special drive in this regard.

She again appealed to the people of the district to continue to follow Covid appropriate behavior besides wear face masks, avoid unnecessary gathering in markets and other public places to combat the Covid infection.
