Six OGWs of LeT arrested, militant hideout busted in Bandipora

Srinagar, Aug 24 (KINS ) Security forces arrested six Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and busted a hideout in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday, official sources said.

They said acting on a tip off, security Forces arrested six OGWs of LeT at Pethkoot in Bandipora.

Incriminating material was recovered from the arrested OGWS, identified as Mohammad Saleem Khan, Muzaffar Mohiuddin Lone, Mohammad Amin Lone, Rizwan Qadir Lone, Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone and Javaid Ahmed Lone.

The recovery included two hand grenades, 15 AK rounds, two Matrix sheets, two detonators and other material.

The OGWS were providing shelter, logistics and other material support to active militants of LeT in Bandipora district, they said.

In this regard, Case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, they added.

Meanwhile, security forces busted a militant hideout in Nagmarg forest area of Aloosa in Bandipora district.

The recovery included ten UBGL rounds and two Chinese grenades and other incriminating material, they said.
