AICTE’s scholarship for orphans, wards of Armed Forces/Central Paramilitary Forces

Srinagar Sept 23 (KINS): The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the Swanath Scholarship Scheme to support the orphan kids, whose either or both parents died due to COVID-19 crisis and wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action, for different technical courses in AICTE approved institutions and courses.   This has been communicated with Police Headquarters vide a letter.

As per the letter, AICTE has launched a new scholarship scheme AICTE Swanath Scholarship to provide financial support of Rs 50,000  per annum to the students studying in BE/ Be Tech/ B Pharma/ B Arch. Etc.

The letter further reads that besides, this AICTE is also providing scholarship of Rs 50, 000 per annum for every year of study to eligible girl students under , AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme’ and eligible differently abled students under ‘AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme studying in AICTE approved institutions & Courses.

The detailed scheme guidelines for the above scholarship schemes are available in AICTE website (https://fellowship.aicte-india.org/). It further informs that the willing eligible students may submit online form on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) on or before 30th of November 2021 (http://scholarships.gov.in/).
