Srinagar, Oct 21 (KINS): Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbagh Singh on Thursday said that the targeted killings of civilians and minorities of J&K was a conspiracy to destroy the future of the people of J&K and to disrupt peace and to prompt a communal split.

He, however, said that J&K police and security forces will thwart all such plans and will not allow militants to succeed.

Singh while addressing at police commemoration day function at armed police complex Zewan Srinagar said that these militants while acting on the directions of their instructors from across the LoC, resorted to violence by killing innocent civilians and members of minority community.

He said that they will not allow disruption of peace and devastation of future of J&K no matter what. “The killings of civilians not only disrupted the peace in the valley but also hit the livelihood of common people of Kashmir as well as of minority community members. We have given a befitting reply to the enemies of peace and will continue to do that in future for the safeguard of valley,” he said.
