Danesh Rana reviews preparedness of rescue teams of SDRF to impending winter season

Srinagar, Nov  01 ( KINS): A meeting of officers of Homeguards/ Civil Defence and SDRF was today convened here by Danesh Rana, ADGP, Commandant General Homeguards/ Civil Defence and SDRF J&K with regard to preparedness of the rescue teams of SDRF with assistance of Homeguards and Civil Defence volunteers.

During the meeting Commandant SDRF 1st BN Srinagar cum Director Civil Defence & SDRF Kashmir was directed to keep all the manpower and equipment in readiness to respond to the impending winter season and forecast of snowfall. The officers were directed to work in close coordination with Civil and Police administration.

Later the Commandant General also visited the offices of the Divisional Commandant Home Guards Kashmir, SDRF 1st BN HQRS and the land identified at Bemina for construction of temporary sheds for SDRF personnel.The meeting was attended by Haseeb-ur-Rehman, Commandant SDRF 1st BN, Firdous Iqbal, SSP, Divisional Commandant Home Guards Kashmir, G.L. Sharma, SSP, Staff officer to Commandant General and Amara Naseem, DYSP, Dy. Controller CD Srinagar.

Besides, the Divisional Commandant Home Guards Kashmir was also directed to work-out the teams of Homeguard volunteers to assist SDRF. ( KINS)
