LG Sinha lays foundation stone of Yatri Niwas, Disaster Management Centre at Majeen

Jammu, NOV 29 ( KINS): With objective to provide facilities to pilgrim, the Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha lays the foundation stone of Yatri Niwas for the upcoming Amarnath pilgrimage and Disaster Management Centre at Majeen, in Jammu.

Today is a very important day as we have taken steps to fulfill the long pending demand of pilgrims coming from the country and abroad, organizations associated with Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

It is my wish that the Yatri Niwas is not just a building but should be a mixed symbol of compassion, spirituality, service, peace and happiness. There should be a confluence of ancient philosophy, values of life so that the pilgrims who come here can experience the spiritual power that awakens in the state of thoughtless consciousness.

Jammu has always been following the path of Dharma since ancient times. Just as all our Vedas, Upanishads, Shastras begin with a salutation to the Supreme God, the Supreme Soul, similarly this city begins with a prayer-filled heart.

Keeping in mind the faith of the devotees, the timeless tradition of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra needs to be done by all the people associated with this project with a dedicated spirit.

The first step in pilgrimage is like the half the journey done and I think it would be more appropriate that this first step of the pilgrims should begin with the purity and perfection of this Yatri Niwas in future: Office of LG J&K.( KINS)
