J&K athletes shine in 43rd Junior National Rowing Championship

Srinagar Dec 13: In a groundbreaking achievement, athletes from Jammu and Kashmir marked their presence at the 43rd Junior National Rowing Championship held at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh from 7th to 12th December 2023.

Among the 12 participants from the region, a commendable performance by four athletes from the Khelo India Centre of Excellence, Rowing Nehru Park, saw them clinch bronze medals.

The bronze medals secured by Afak Ali, Adil Ahmad Bhat, Irtiza Ali, and Muntazir Ali not only bring pride to their UT but contribute to the overall growth and recognition of rowing in the region. Their achievement will undoubtedly serve as a catalyst for aspiring rowers of Jammu & Kashmir, encouraging them to aim for excellence in national and international competitions.
