GELS 2024 Update: District Ramban Sees 8% Polling by 9 AM, Over 17,000 Votes Cast

Srinagar, Apr 19: As the General Elections for the Udhampur Constituency kicks off, an encouraging 8% of the electorate have exercised their franchise by 9 AM in district Ramban. Out of a total of 2.19 lakh eligible voters, 17,596 individuals have cast their votes. In Assembly Constituency (AC) 54, Ramban, the polling percentage stands at 9.71%, with 5472 male and 3901 female voters participating. Meanwhile, in AC-55 Banihal, 6.71% of voters have turned out, comprising 5384 male and 2839 female voters. The trend indicates an early engagement of the electorate, encouraging the momentum for robust participation throughout the day.
