Baramulla PC sees two candidates enter Lok Sabha race as nomination papers filed

BARAMULLA, APRIL 29: The electoral battleground for the upcoming General Lok Sabha Elections-2024 in 1-Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency witnessed the entry of two contenders today, as they formally filed their nomination papers at the Office of the Returning Officer.
Mudasir Ahmad Tantray, hailing from Handwara, emerged as an independent candidate, stepping into the fray with a pledge to represent the aspirations of the constituency. Tantray’s nomination was submitted before the Returning Officer for 1-Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency, Minga Sherpa.
In parallel, the nomination papers of another independent candidate, Abdul Rashid Sheikh from Langate, were also presented at the office of the Returning Officer, 1-Baramulla PC, marking Sheikh’s official foray into the electoral race.
As the electoral landscape takes shape, the political pulse of Baramulla PC intensifies, setting the stage for a dynamic and closely contested electoral showdown in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
