Srinagar,May 01: As restoration efforts continue on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW-44), authorities have announced that the road is not yet fully operational. Works are underway at Mehar and Magerkote, with a decision regarding vehicular movement set to be made tomorrow morning.
In light of this, commuters are strongly advised against traveling on NHW-44 until further notice.
The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road remains impassable due to heavy snow accumulation, as does the Mughal Road and the Bhaderwah-Chamba road, all of which are blocked, hampering connectivity in the region.
