Security tightened in North Kashmir ahead of Baramulla Lok Sabha Elections with increased forces in several areas

Sopore Police extends warm welcome to CAPF arriving in district for election Duties

Srinagar, May 15: With the parliamentary elections scheduled for May 20 in the Baramulla constituency, security measures have been significantly heightened. Authorities have inducted additional forces in key areas, to ensure a peaceful and orderly election process.
The deployment of extra security personnel is to safeguard the democratic process in the constituency. “The presence of these forces aims to reassure voters and candidates of their safety and to deter any attempts at disruption sources in the police said”.
Election officials have assured that all necessary preparations are in place to facilitate smooth polling. The induction of additional forces is part of a broader strategy to maintain law and order and to instill confidence among the electorate.
As the polling day approaches, the focus remains on ensuring a fair, free, and peaceful election, with authorities leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to achieve this goal.
Meanwhile, Sopore Police extended a warm welcome to the CAPF arriving in the district for election duties.
Senior Superintendent of Police Divya D-IPS, along with CAPF Nodal officers Santosh Kumar Malla CO 179 Bn CRPF and Hari Kant Singh CO 177 Bn CRPF, greeted the arriving CAPF companies at various locations in the district.
They expressed deep gratitude for their support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the electoral process.
Territorial officers, including SDPOs and SHOs, also welcomed CAPF companies in their respective areas, highlighting the collaborative effort and camaraderie between District Police and CAPF personnel.
Sopore Police affirmed their commitment to providing full cooperation and coordination to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
