BJP Secures Third Consecutive Victory in Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Elections

Srinagar, June 02: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has returned to power in Arunachal Pradesh for the third consecutive term, securing a decisive two-thirds majority by winning 46 seats in the 60-member assembly.
The counting of votes, which is ongoing for 50 of the contested seats, revealed that the BJP has won 36 of them. The remaining 10 seats were won uncontested by the saffron party.
In the final tally, the National People’s Party (NPP) captured five seats, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) secured three, and the People’s Party of Arunachal won two. Additionally, three seats went to independent candidates, and one was won by the Indian National Congress.
