Police Solve Burglary Case in Kulgam; Stolen Property Worth Lakhs Recovered

Srinagar, July 04: Police in Kulgam have successfully solved a burglary case by arresting three individuals and recovering stolen property worth lakhs from their possession.
Mohd Shabaan Naik, son of Ghulam Qadir Naik and resident of Badijahlan, DH Pora, filed a complaint at Police Station DH Pora, reporting the theft of his livestock (five in number) by unknown thieves during the night of June 30th and July 1st.
A case was registered under FIR No. 83/2024, section 303 sub-clause (2) BNS, and an investigation was initiated. An investigation team, led by SHO Police Station DH Pora and supervised by SDPO DH Pora, quickly identified three suspects through rigorous efforts and all available means. The suspects, Imtiyaz Ahmad Malik of Sarmarag, DH Pora, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie of Main Bazar Pattan, Baramulla, and Mohd Ashraf Mir of Wein Imamsahib, Shopian, confessed to the crime during questioning. They were arrested, and the vehicle used in the crime, registration number JK22-0598, was seized.
Following their confession, the stolen property was recovered. The investigation is ongoing, and further recoveries are anticipated.
