Srinagar Municipal Corporation Launches Intensive Cleanliness Drive with Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign

Srinagar, August 03: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has launched the Swachhata Pakhwada Cleanliness Drive Campaign to improve the city’s sanitation and cleanliness standards. This initiative includes thorough cleaning and sanitization of public and community toilets across Srinagar and mobilizes volunteers to clean parks and playgrounds.
As part of this campaign, the SMC is focusing on maintaining hygienic and well-maintained facilities for both residents and visitors, aiming to foster a healthier environment. The corporation is also actively involving volunteers to help maintain the cleanliness and beauty of public spaces, promoting community responsibility.
Dr. Owais Ahmed IAS, expressed his enthusiasm for the campaign, stating, “We are committed to making Srinagar a cleaner and more sustainable city for all its residents. The active participation of volunteers and the dedicated efforts of our team will play a crucial role in achieving this goal.”
