DLSA Srinagar Hosts Awareness Programme on Anti-Ragging Laws and Drug Abuse at S.P HSS

Srinagar, Aug 07: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar held an awareness programme at S.P Higher Secondary School today, focusing on anti-ragging laws and drug abuse.
Under the leadership of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman of DLSA Srinagar, and supervised by Jahangir Ahmed Bakshi, Secretary of DLSA Srinagar, the programme aimed to educate attendees on the significance of anti-ragging measures and the growing issue of drug abuse.
Participants, including students and staff, engaged in discussions about the legal protections against ragging and the societal impacts of drug addiction. Tasneem Kausar, Deputy LADC, DLSA Srinagar, highlighted the legal safeguards for students and the collective responsibility in maintaining a safe educational environment. Advocate Bisma Khan, Panel Lawyer, DLSA Srinagar, addressed the community’s role in drug prevention and rehabilitation.
The event concluded with an interactive session, encouraging participants to ask questions and discuss solutions, marking a significant step towards addressing these critical social issues.
