MLA Kangan calls Gagangeer attack deadliest in 30 Years

Srinagar, Oct 22 (KINS): MLA Kangan Mehar Ali condemned the Gagangeer, Ganderbal attack on innocent civilians, calling it the deadliest targeted assault in the region in more than three decades.
Terrorists launched a devastating assault on innocent civilians at the Z-Morh Tunnel site in Gagangeer, Ganderbal, on Sunday.
The attack claimed the lives of six construction workers and a doctor, sending shockwaves through the Union Territory.
News agency KINS reported that MLA Kangan, Mehar Ali, visited the attack site on Tuesday, condemning the violence and offering assurances that the ongoing work on the crucial tunnel project would not be halted. “This is a deeply unfortunate and cowardly attack on innocent people. There must be collective condemnation from everyone,” Ali said, expressing his grief over the loss of lives.
He emphasized the importance of the Z-Morh Tunnel, a vital infrastructure project and contributing to its development. “The brave workers will continue their efforts and work , and we will ensure the timely completion of this project,” Ali affirmed.
He also highlighted the swift action being taken by security forces.
“The security forces have already said that they are actively on the job to apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime.
Security forces have been deployed in larger numbers to prevent further incidents, as investigations continue to track down the perpetrators.
The Z-Morh Tunnel, a key project for enhancing connectivity between Srinagar and Leh, remains a priority for the government, and officials are determined to ensure its completion.(KINS)
