Srinagar, Oct 23 (KINS): Nazir Ahmad Gurezi, Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Gurez, has made a strong commitment to addressing unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir by pushing for the filling of 50,000 vacant positions in civil administration.
Speaking to media reporters at a public gathering, Gurezi highlighted the critical shortage of jobs in the police and civil services sectors.
“We have about 10,000 vacancies in the police force and nearly 50,000 in civil administration. The government will make efforts to fill these positions and tackle the growing unemployment crisis,” he stated as per news agency KINS.
Beyond job creation, Gurezi also outlined plans to launch economic projects aimed at providing new opportunities for the youth of Gurez and neighboring areas like Vadwan, Dachhan.
Gurezi further addressed the longstanding issue of poor mobile connectivity in the remote Gurez Valley.
He announced ongoing discussions with local authorities and Jio representatives to ensure that mobile network services will be available across the valley in the coming days.
“Access to mobile services is not a luxury but a necessity, especially for a remote region like Gurez,” Gurezi stated. (KINS)
