Srinagar, Nov 03 (KINS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leadership, along with all 28 of its Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), is scheduled to hold a legislative party meeting this afternoon at Church Lane in Sonwar, Srinagar.
The meeting will be crucial in setting the BJP’s strategy for the upcoming Assembly session, set to commence tomorrow at the Assembly complex in Srinagar.
Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Prahlad Joshi, and BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, who is also in charge of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, have been appointed as national observers by the party high command. They are expected to oversee the proceedings of the meeting.
“This meeting will finalize the party’s strategy for the upcoming Assembly session, and an announcement on the Leader of the Opposition will follow shortly after,” a senior BJP leader told news agency KINS.
With the sudden demise of Devender Rana, MLA from Nagrota, the BJP’s legislative strength has reduced from 29 to 28 members. The party is expected to take a unified approach during the session, focusing on key issues while firmly establishing its role as the main opposition.(KINS)
