Aam Admi Party MLA Mehraj Ahmed says ‘BJP handed over guns in the hands of VDGs who couldn’t hold Lathis’

Arshad Farooq

Srinagar, Nov 08 (KINS): The lone member of Aam Admi Party (AAP) Friday accused BJP legislators of causing unjustified disruptions in the Legislative Assembly stating that it was the saffron party that handed over weapons in the hands of Village Defence Guards (VDGs) in Jammu without training.
“BJP is not able to digest the resolution. They have decided not to allow government function. Prime Minister Narendera Modi has stated that the Centre will see the resolution, so why create ruckus in the House,” Mehraj said.
He said that before the elections as vote bank politics, BJP leaders distributed guns in the hands of people in Jammu who were not able to hold sticks. “They are not able to digest the truth. They should talk about casual labourers in the House, but they created fracas,” he said.
The AAP MLA said that BJP is responsible for the deteriorating security situation in J&K.—(KINS)
