Kulgam youth detained by CIK over alleged militant recruitment activities

Srinagar, Nov 13 ( KINS ) : Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) announced on Wednesday the detention of a youth to prevent his recruitment into militant ranks. According to a CIK statement, Bhat Navidul Ali, an M.Sc. student from Kulgam, was allegedly using social media for radical propaganda aimed at inciting the public against the Government of India and promoting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
CIK reported that Ali had been engaging with online entities involved in radicalizing youth and was consuming extremist content, with plans to join militant ranks. Upon receiving this information, a special CIK team apprehended him for questioning. His parents and local community members were also called in for counseling.
CIK appealed to Kashmir’s youth to avoid illegal activities and advised parents to monitor their children closely to protect them from such influences. ( KINS )
