NC Hits Back at PDP’s Mehbooba Mufti, Says Party ‘Uneasy & Powerless to Effect Change on Statehood Demand’

Srinagar, Jan 13 (KINS): In response to PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti’s recent post, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) stated that the ‘PDP is in no position to effect any change’.
The party expressed that the PDP’s reaction to the Chief Minister’s call for the restoration of statehood, made directly to the Prime Minister, is an ‘indication of their growing unease’.
“PDP is not in a position to do anything. They are just getting unnerved by CM urging the PM for statehood restoration… without mixing any words.Don’t mislead people. Well actually, you can’t mislead people now, coz no one listens to you. Keep on tearing your vocal chords”.NC’s state spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, wrote in a post on X.
Earlier In a post on X, Mehbooba said Abdullah’s conduct has been so different from that of her father’s, late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, a former chief minister.
“Difference between a shortsighted politician & a true statesman. In 2003 then BJP PM Vajpayee during his visit to Srinagar showed great faith in Mufti sahab’s vision of peace with dignity even though PDP had a mere 16 MLAs.
“Today our CM despite 50 MLAs did everything to appease & normalise Delhi’s unilateral actions in August 2019 that cleaved & robbed J&K of its special status,” Mehbooba said in the post.(KINS)
