Security forces recover arms cache in Karnah, Kupwara

Srinagar, Feb 10 (KINS): Security forces on Monday uncovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in the Karnah area along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A joint team of the army and police launched the operation in Badi Mohalla Amrohee in Karnah tehsil after receiving intelligence about the presence of arms in the area.

During the operation, the forces recovered one AK-47 rifle, one AK magazine, one Saiga MK rifle, one Saiga MK magazine, and 12 rounds of ammunition, which were found concealed in a bag behind a food store.

A case has been registered at the local police station, and investigations are underway, officials said.(KINS)
