CM announces committee for Regularisation of daily wagers

Jammu, March 11(KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday announced the formation of a high-level committee to develop a roadmap for the regularisation of daily wagers in the Union Territory.

“I will issue orders to constitute a committee comprising the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretary Planning, and Law Secretary as its members,” Omar Abdullah stated while responding to discussions on the budget as per news agency KINS.

He added that the committee would draft a comprehensive roadmap within six months, which would then be incorporated into the next budget.

Addressing concerns about inflation, Abdullah dismissed claims that the budget would trigger a significant rise in inflation.

“Sajad Sahab said it will have a major inflationary impact, but it won’t,” he said.

The Chief Minister further emphasized that the budget was realistic rather than pessimistic, reaffirming the government’s commitment to financial stability and welfare measures.(KINS)
