EJAC seeks releasing of pending salaries, wages and other dues of employees before Eid

Srinagar Mar 24 (KINS) :The Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu Kashmir (EJAC) has urged the J&K government to release the pending salaries of employees and wages of all the temporary workers before Eid.
In a statement issued to news agency KINS, the president EJAC Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam said that the auspicious day of Eid is approaching and yet the hundreds of employees and temporary workers are without salaries and wages despite their repeated requests for the release of their earned salaries & wages. He added that these employees have always been on front line to combat any calamity and non payment of earned salaries and wages is quite injustice not only with them but with their families as well.
The EJAC President urged the government especially Chief Secretary & the Financial Commissioner of Finance to redress the genuine grievances of the employees and workers by releasing their salaries and wages before Eid so that these employees and workers can heave a sigh of relief and celebrate Eid with their children and families.
The EJAC President is hopeful that the government will resolve the issue of pending salaries & wages as well as other dues in the larger interests of common good, the statement added. (KINS)
