Amit Shah to begin 3-day visit to J&K from April 6
Srinagar, Apr 3 (KINS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah will embark on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from April 6, sources said.
Shah is scheduled to arrive in Jammu on April 6, where he will spend two days reviewing security and developmental projects. During his stay, he is expected to visit border areas and hold high-level meetings with senior officials from various security agencies and the local administration. He will assess the progress of centrally sponsored developmental initiatives and discuss key issues concerning the region.
On April 7 evening, the Home Minister will leave for Srinagar, where he will stay for a night. Sources said Shah will chair a security review meeting attended by top officials from the Police, Army, and paramilitary forces. He is also expected to inaugurate several projects across Jammu and Kashmir.
Additionally, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is likely to meet Shah during the visit. The Home Minister will conclude his tour and return to New Delhi on April 8. (KINS)
