Pahalgam, July 13 (KINS): As part of the ongoing preparations for SANJY 2025, coordinated mock drills were successfully held across three key zones—Sheeshnag, Panjtarni, and the Holy Cave—to assess and strengthen high-altitude rescue and emergency response capabilities.
At Zone 03 (Sheeshnag Camp), the drill was supervised by J&K Police in the presence of 2 I/C ITBP. Participating agencies included Fire & Emergency Services, ITBP Health, Civil Health, Intelligence Agencies, and the Indian Army’s Maratha Light Infantry. The focus was on inter-agency coordination and swift emergency response.
In Zone 02 (Panjtarni), SDRF, NDRF, BSF, JKAP, and medical teams carried out technical rope rescues and casualty evacuations in rugged terrain, demonstrating trauma care and oxygen support readiness.
Similar high-altitude emergency scenarios were simulated at Zone 01 (Holy Cave), with joint teams showcasing rapid response, rope rigging, and on-site medical intervention.
These drills reinforced the collective preparedness and operational synergy of all involved agencies, underscoring their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Yatris under challenging conditions.(KINS)
