Baramulla Police intensify crackdown on anti-National Elements Conducts searches, strengthen surveillance across district

Srinagar, Nov 15 (KINS): Police in Baramulla carried out a series of coordinated preventive operations across the district to bolster public safety and counter activities linked to anti-national elements.

During these operations, three individuals with confirmed subversive links were summoned and bound down under preventive law. Searches were conducted at seven locations associated with OGWs, leading to seven more individuals being bound down. Two persons booked under UAPA—currently on bail—were examined, with one bound down under preventive provisions. Additionally, seven UAPA-accused on bail were identified for bail cancellation, and two related cases have been submitted to the court.

Police also conducted 29 CASOs in sensitive areas to reinforce area domination and enhance surveillance. A total of 244 vehicles were checked at different points to monitor movement and verify credentials, while 18 SIM vendors were inspected. Furthermore, four persons linked to E&IMCO-related activities were examined to ensure compliance with established guidelines.

These operations were aimed at averting potential threats, strengthening lawful conduct, and maintaining peace and order across the district.(KINS)
