Aga Ruhullah hits out at Deputy CM Surindar Chowdhary over switching political parties

KINS Correspondent

Srinagar, Nov 27 (KINS): National Conference (NC) Member Parliament Aga Ruhullah on Thursday lashed out at Deputy Chief Minister Surindar Chowdhary, accusing him of switching political parties to serve his “personal interests”.

Ruhullah was responding to Chowdhary’s remarks in which the Deputy Chief Minister had reportedly said that the NC MP should “raise his voice in Parliament, not on roads” and “stop trying to be in the limelight”.

“I don’t see any worth in responding to a person who has been changing parties for his own interests,” Ruhullah told reporters, according to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).

“He chooses a party wherever he gets benefit and for the chair. Sometime he was with PDP, then BJP and now NC,” the parliamentarian said, questioning Chowdhary’s political consistency.

Ruhullah acknowledged having “disagreements” with his own party on certain principles but insisted that his politics was not driven by personal gain. “I have disagreements with the party on some principles. But this Deputy Chief Minister is always interested only in his own benefits,” he added.
