Jammu, Apr 27 (KINS): Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School (GGMHSS), Mubarak Mandi, organised a grand felicitation ceremony to honour students for their outstanding performance in the JKBOSE Class 12 Annual Examination 2025–26.
MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, attended the event as Chief Guest, while DEPO Jammu B.D. Sharma was the Guest of Honour. Members of the School Management Committee, including Raj Singh, Ram Magotra, H.C. Katoch, Rajesh Verma, Satish Sharma, and Ramesh Kumar, were also present.
The programme was held under the guidance of Principal Neelam Sharma and Vice Principal Anayat Rehman, and was conducted by Poonam Rajput, Bindu Gandotra, and Rajnish.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi congratulated the students and teachers for their excellent results, stating that hard work and dedication are key to success. He said students of government schools are proving their talent across all streams and emphasized that education is the foundation of a bright future.
On the occasion, he announced the installation of a water cooler in the school from his Constituency Development Funds and also declared that an auditorium hall will be constructed soon to support academic and co-curricular activities.
The school recorded an impressive overall result of 91.08 percent in the Class 12 examinations, securing nine board positions, 190 distinctions, and 68 first divisions.
Among the top achievers, Vidushi Verma secured 4th position in the Science stream with 97.8 percent, while Tejasvi Thakur and Vasudha Verma secured 10th positions with 97.8 percent each.
In Home Science, Siya Chouhan secured 1st position with 458 marks (91.6 percent), followed by Tejasvi with 445 marks (89 percent), Ananya Raina with 409 marks (81.8 percent), and Shivani Devi with 391 marks (78.2 percent).
In Commerce, Shradha Chettri secured 3rd position with 99 percent, while Pragati Sharma secured 6th position in Arts with 98 percent.
The position holders were felicitated with certificates and medals, and other meritorious students were also appreciated. Teachers from various departments were honoured for achieving 100 percent results.
Principal Neelam Sharma congratulated all the achievers and thanked the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, staff, parents, and students for making the event successful. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments.(KINS)
