Extends warm welcome to newly appointed DTO
SHOPIAN, MAY 04: A farewell cum welcome function was organized by District Treasury Office Shopian to bid a heartfelt farewell to the outgoing District Treasury Officer (DTO) Shopian, Muzaffar Ahmad Rather and to extend a warm welcome to the newly appointed District Treasury Officer Shopian, Umar Javaid.
The event was marked by appreciation, reflection, and optimism as officers and staff gathered to acknowledge the contributions of the outgoing officer and to greet the incoming leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, officers and officials highlighted the professional excellence and dedication demonstrated by the outgoing DTO during his tenure. They noted that the officer’s leadership significantly strengthened financial management systems and ensured smooth functioning of treasury operations.
Employees of the District Treasury Office shared their experiences and praised the outgoing DTO for his approachable nature, administrative competence, and commitment to staff welfare.
In his farewell address, DTO Shopian, expressed deep gratitude and emotion, describing his tenure of more than two years in Shopian as both professionally fulfilling and personally enriching.
He said he felt proud to have worked with such a capable and dedicated team, acknowledging both those who had been with him since the beginning and those who joined over time.
He concluded by thanking all staff members for their unwavering support and expressed hope that they would continue their excellent work under the new leadership.
The incoming District Treasury Officer, Umar Javaid, in his address, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him. He acknowledged the strong foundation laid by his predecessor and assured the staff that he would work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficiency, transparency, and accountability in treasury operations.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and mutual support in achieving organizational goals and expressed his commitment to strengthening the functioning of the office.
