Srinagar, Aug 13 (KINS): As part of the ongoing ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in coordination with the civil administration, educational institutions and local communities, organised Tiranga rallies across several districts of Kashmir to promote patriotism, unity and national pride.
In Ganderbal, Police and the Civil Administration jointly organised a mega Tiranga Rally in Kangan. The rally, led by SDM Kangan Dr. Nazir Ahmad, JKAS, and SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina, JKPS, started from Government Degree College Kangan and culminated at Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan. Police and civil administration officers, students and a large number of local residents participated in the rally, carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans.
In Kulgam, Police organised a Tiranga Rally in the Qaimoh area, with enthusiastic participation from youth, community members, civil society representatives and personnel from Police and other security agencies. Participants carried the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans.
In Pulwama, Tiranga rallies were held at several locations in collaboration with the Civil Administration, educational institutions and local communities. At Rajpora, a joint rally started from Degree College Rajpora and culminated at Sports Stadium Rajpora. At Kakapora, participants marched from Government Higher Secondary School towards Railway Crossing Naman. Rallies were also held at Sangerwani, Tujan and Hawal, with students and police personnel participating enthusiastically.
In Awantipora, Police Station Khrew organised a Tiranga Rally in the Khrew area under the supervision of SDPO Pampore and SHO Khrew. Students, teaching staff and members of civil society participated in the rally and marched with the National Flag while raising patriotic slogans. The programme concluded peacefully with participants reaffirming their commitment to unity, integrity, peace and brotherhood.
The rallies organised across Kashmir reflect J&K Police’s efforts to strengthen police-public relations and encourage community participation in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The initiative also seeks to promote the values of unity, peace, integrity and national solidarity ahead of Independence Day.(KINS)
