Srinagar, Sep 25 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly witnessed a noisy protest on Friday after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah moved a resolution seeking restoration of full statehood to J&K.
BJP members entered the Well of the House and raised slogans, objecting to references to earlier Assembly resolutions, including the 2000 autonomy resolution. National Conference members also raised slogans from the treasury benches, leading to heated exchanges.
Congress MLA Nizamuddin Khan also entered the Well during the protest. The proceedings continued amid the uproar.(KINS)
