Bandipora, Oct 25 (KINS): The INDIA bloc in Bandipora organised a press conference on Sunday at 11:30 am under the theme “Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao” (Save the Vote, Save the Nation), highlighting concerns over electoral integrity and the protection of democratic rights.
During the press conference, slogans were raised against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The demonstration reflected the organisers’ political opposition and their concerns regarding the electoral process.
The campaign’s central message, “Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao,” underscored the importance of safeguarding the right to vote and maintaining public confidence in democratic institutions. The INDIA bloc used the occasion to present its concerns to the media and draw attention to issues it considers significant to the country’s democratic framework.
“The right to vote is a key element of democratic participation, enabling citizens to influence the political direction of the country. Issues concerning electoral transparency, fairness and accountability remain matters of public interest and warrant examination based on facts, evidence and established institutional processes,” they said.
The press conference was part of the INDIA bloc’s political outreach, with the slogan placing electoral accountability at the centre of its message.
